The only: thing that moves on its own to any degree that you would feel within the abdomen/pelvis is the bowel. Bowel loops normally contract and relax during digestion, as fluid, solid contents, and gas move along. Did they check you for a hernia? Bowel loops withing a hernia sac could cause a sense of movement in the inguinal region.
