Tender pain in right hip joint, worse at night for 7 months. x-ray, ultrasound of right hip found nothing. what else could cause the pain?

Other tests: US will only get surface. I am uncertain about what was found on the examination. Is it tehjoint? If so you need an MRI> If surface it can be tendon, ligament, muscle etc. You need more of an evaluation.
