If these changes lead to a reversal of the condition, and blood sugar levels return to normal, an individual would no longer be considered to have diabetes. However, once you have had type 2 diabetes, you are at increased risk of developing it again in the future. To prevent this, it's important to continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and to monitor blood sugar levels regularly.
