Day 9/10 of my covid infection had a horrible 3 hour coughing fit this morning. pretty much threw out the day been loosing my voice. should i be concerned? worried about epiglottitis read something that said covid patience can get it?

You definitely should see a doctor soon, but epiglottitis is unlikely. The main symptoms of epiglottitis are upper airway blockage and difficulty swallowing, not cough.
