Pulmonary fibrosis itself is a restrictive lung disease which generally occurs secondary to inhaling dusts such as coal, cotton and silica as well as other irritants. You may get some intermediate "fibrosis"; or have some scarring as a result of a healing process but this isn't the same as pulmonary fibrosis. You should followup with your lung doctor for testing of airway disease if concerned.

You most likely are referring to scarring of the lungs leaving one with interstitial lung disease which causes problems with oxygen crossing from the lungs into the blood stream. I have seen a couple if such post covid patients who received prolonged pulmonary rehab & require continual oxygen therapy. Since you're not having shortness of breath,I think it's a good sign for your prognosis.
