A member asked:

Crp negative. i did my cbc and it stated absolute lymphocyte count is 3.54 and platelet count 452 rest all was normal. i repeated my cbc where absolute lymphocyte count reduced to 3.17 but my platelet count has increased to 466?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your lymphocyte count is in the normal range. Iron deficiency is a common cause of high platelet count, you may take oral iron and multivitamin supplements. Wish you good health!
