A member asked:

Is a platelet count of 122,000, with no symptoms of low platelet count, and rest of cbc results normal, a problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the count per se is not an issue as long as it is stable, you and your doctor may wish to retest in 6 months or so. Wish you good health!
