Family history of scd. personal history or nsvt. echo revealed mild mitral valve leaflet thickening. there is flattening of the mitral valve leaflets without frank prolapse. there is trace mitral regurgitation. how concerning is this ?

This is not very concerning but you should see whoever ordered the test to review the results with you. Trace mitral regurgitation means a small amount of blood is moving in the opposite direction of where it should. Because it is trace, it is not very concerning and quite common. But, this needs to be interpreted in clinical context. Good luck!!

I'm concerned about bouts of nonsustained VT ( less than 30 seconds in duration). I assume you don't have prolonged QT syndrome. In view if the family history of sudden death, have you had the provocative test for Brugada syndrome? I'd like you to be evaluated & advised by an electrophysiologist cardiologist. Invasive testing may not be needed, but you'll have peace of mind.
