Carpal boss surgery. hard bone like lump formed shortly after surgery. larger than original boss. is this likely to be bone or scaring internally? if so is there a name for the scarring? scaring on outside healthy and normal. thank you?

Is this a return of the carpal boss or unsuccessful surgery? What symptoms are you experiencing? What does the hand surgeon think? Is a second opinion worthwhile? I doubt you'll rush into another surgical procedure.

There was no need for carpal boss. Now scarring and swelling developed. Might subside with time
