I fractured my carpal bone (in hand), it was untreated, now healed, however in an unusual position (it's bumpy). What are the ways a doctor/surgeon could fix it? If surgery is one of the ways, how would it go, what exactly would they do to my hand?

Small round hard like bone lump at base of wrist (palm side) thumb side. Doesnt hurt, could it be ganglion cyst? It is hard like a bone though
