Silicone sheeting: Multiple ways to treat scars. But you must wait until completely healed and this can be best determined by asking your doctor when it is safe to use scar treatments. Silicone sheets can be applied directly over the scar, these apply a pressure that can help decrease the scar. Other creams and gels are also available as well as laser therapy to diminish scars. A plastic surgeon can best direct you.
