My mom was told she has a gallstones but not a candidate for surgery. they placed a stent. we would like to know for how long she will have the external collection bag?

If the stent is successfully inserted, the external drain can be clamped and if there is no evidence of biliary obstruction, i.e. no new jaundice, the external drain can be removed. All can happen within a week or less.
