Only 2 months after my gallbladder removal surgery for a gallstone, a stone was found in my common bile duct (8mm of size). i've been told it's most probably a retained stone, is it possible for a stone to be retained and missed out during surgery?

Anything is possible in medicine. Best is to go over any ultrasound or tests before surgery to see if it was there. Discuss all this with the surgeon'
