A member asked:

Can a vericocele, when inflamed, cause discomfort into the lower left abdomen? ice on the area seems to help.. what can i do to help it to subside? have had episides of discomfort on and off for many years.. how long can i expect it to linger?

You're obviously not the patient. In my experience vericoceles are rarely symptomatic& radiation into t he abdomen is unusual. Can he have been experiencing symptoms periodically from an old case of epedidymitis? A urologist is best to evaluate and advise him.

Is this a typo? Do you mean vesicocele, i.e. cystocele. Pelvic discomfort is one symptom of cystocele without an inflammation. You should see a GYN doctor for advice.

The symptoms you describe are not from a varicocele and varicoceles dont get inflamed. Get examined for proper diagnosis by your doc/ Urologist.
