A member asked:

Do angiotensin receptor blockers cause insomnia or sleep interruptions? i take valsartan 40mg and i also have mild sleep apnea but i'm wondering whether the arb is making my sleep worse because i wake up frequently and i get strange dreams?

Drugs.com lists insomnia as a side effect of valsartan with unknown frequency. In you case, you can request another ARB substitute such as irbesartan or telmisartan at an equivalent dose then you can find out if valsartan is the culprit after one week (valsartan has a short half life so its side effect should be wiped off after one week).
