A member asked:

Do angiotensin receptor blockers lower heart rate? ever since i started valsartan i notice that my hr is lower by 3-5 beats when at rest. not sure if that's because it dilates the coronary artery or just by chance due to exercise and weight loss?

In general, ARBs are neutral in heart rate but in rare cases, either bradycardia or tachycardia does occur as side effect. In your case, the change of 3-5 beats lower is more likely due to exercise than Valsartan' s effect.
