My cholesterol came back at 210. normal was up to 200. last year it was 195 (quite a jump). my ldlc is 146 higher than 130 & my non hdl was 167 higher than 160. should i be concerned?

The Cholesterol level is not a clear area. I would not be concerned about the numbers however I would suggest to pay attention to your diet to increase vegetables and hight fiber in your diet and to cut down on chole highfood . It is important to also lower other risk that may work along with because when such like high blood pressure diabetes and smoking are not there cholesterol is weak factor.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, reduce your intake of saturated fats and if you are even slightly overweight, losing weight would be helpful. Wish you good health!
