Masses in the testicular area can be attributed to varicoceles, hydroceles, epididymal cysts, epididymitis/orchitis, hernias or cancer. Any unusual masses in the testicular area need a thorough in person exam to evaluate position, density, connections, texture and tenderness. An ultrasound may be needed to see the composition of the mass. Labwork can check for infection. It may require surgery
