I have had 1 cm uterine polyp for about 5 years. looked like it went away without removal last year. had spotting twice in 3 years between periods around fertile week. got checked this year with ultrasound and its back. was it just missed last year?

There is not a way that we would be able to determine if the polyp was missed on a previous sonogram or comment on your medical studies from the past. Your Obgyn may be able to provide more insight if they have all the reports together in one place. Regardless, if you have a polyp now that is causing you problems you could consider having it removed with an outpatient surgery called a polypectomy
