You forget to tell us what's wrong with your left kidney. If that kidney is removed due to an ongoing process such as chronic infection, severe nephrolithiasis or progressive hydronephrosis, the surgery may relieve your symptoms. One thing for sure your current symptoms are not due to impaired kidney function because the right kidney is well compensating for the left.

It all depends on the reasons you are having your kidney removed. Your present symptoms are not related to the poor functionof your left kidney.
