Adhesions: Adhesions do not grow. They are almost impossible to see on CT-Scan unless they are significantly large. Sometimes you can make out the locations because the bowel looks abnormal on special bowel exams. If you suspect adhesions then you must be evaluated fully - the risk if you leave it and it is adhesions is incomplete bowel obstruction that can cause complete obstruction.
