A member asked:

I have impacted wisdom teeth, no infection according to last month. today i noticed raised bumps on my back gums, no fever or pain. i do have a slight metallic taste in mouth with nasal drip, mucus is white yellow green-ish. could it be an abscess?

An abscess would have some pain and swelling, as well as draining. You probably have a sinus or throat infection. See an ENT specialist or your PCP for exam and treatment. Don't try to treat yourself.

Drainage of a localized gingival inflammation and possible infection is happening. If you can, see your dentist for wisdom teeth removal. If you somehow cannot at the moment, induce drainage by brushing the area with salt will greatly reduce the symptom. The drainage is the reason why you have no fever or pain even with the abscess.
