I got blood work done in aug 2022 and it showed my alanine aminotransferase were 82 ul is this bad. my doc said last time i had slight fatty liver last time i saw him. i was heavily drinking for 2 years. cut it back to twice a week since i saw this?

This high ALT could be from persistent fatty liver +/- direct liver injury from alcohol. You need to stop alcohol, diet and exercise for weight loss if your BMI is above 25 and make sure your lipid panel in ranges.

Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it. It will destroy your brain cells, damage testicular cells that make testosterone, facilitate development of cancer in many organs, cause hepatitis, cirrhosis and pancreatitis etc. There is no safe level of alcohol intake. Quit while you are ahead. If you are overweight lose weight.
