My past 2 blood work were microcytic hypochromic,but with good normal hgb and hct and wbc. high rbc . neither the er dr or my primary dr were concern or suggest any more follow up. should i test for thalassemia?

Thalassemia shows abnormality in shape and size of RBCs and causes other symptoms too and always shows low Hgb. You should have your doc repeat a count in 2-3 months and compare with all others you had done before. Good luck.
