Manubrium: You seem to be describing a painful manubrium (upper part of the sternum) which might be attributable to inflammation of the cartilage which connects the manubrium with the body of the sternum. If the pain continues, have it examined by your doctor. If this is the cause, an injection of Lidocaine should give immediate relief; often the pain does not recur.

Chest wall pain: This is very suggestive of chest wall pain. Does not sound like there is a cardiac origin of your pain.

Muscle: If this has been going on for a while, = 1-2 days or more, it might be muskoskeletal - specially by the symptoms u describe. Maybe u lifted a heavy weight/ pulled ur muscle etc, if thats the case, it should go away on its own.
