Unless you have advanced kidney disease, a gabapentin dose 100 mg, twice a day, less likely has any effect.

Due to its half-life, gabapentin must be taken every 8 hrs or three times daily. A dose of 100 mg is considered basically homeopathic and ineffective but may be a good start for subsequent dose titration to accommodate possible intolerance.
