Can affect CNS: Levofloxacine is an unusal antibiotic. It can be very effective for deep tissue infections, but it does have a range of unusual side effects in some people--inluding hypersensitivity of the central nervous system. Anyone experiencing such should alert his/her prescribing physician and avoid it in future. The reaction ought slowly to pass, but can persist for awhile.

Side effects: Agitation & anxiety have been reported in 0.1% to 1% of people taking Levofloxacin. A number of other side effects are possible as well. See: https://www.drugs.com/sfx/levofloxacin-side-effects.html. Please let your prescribing provider know about this.
