Zoloft is both an anti-depressant and an anti-anxiety medication. The 50 mg is typically a starting dose and can be increased by your doctor based on how well it is working. I am glad it is working somewhat but you can discuss with your doctor about increasing the dose and also when or whether to add another medication.

Medication management is an excellent initial step, and modifying dosage will likely improve response. It would be prudent to add on psychotherapy such as a cognitive behavioral approach. Have found some benefits from biofeedback, meditation, aerobic exercise, and acupuncture. Hopefully, a psychiatrist is involved with your care.
