A member asked:

Is it safe to have a few pints of beer after tooth filling using lidocaine?

Let the anesthetic wear out and reduce a 'few' to one or two- if you must. Best is to do it next day

Wait 3 hours at least until the anesthesia wears off. You don't want the alcohol to interfere with the setting of the filling material as well as causing staining. Brush after drinking the beers.

No. Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it. It will destroy your brain cells, damage testicular cells that make testosterone, facilitate development of cancer in many organs, cause hepatitis, cirrhosis and pancreatitis etc. There is no safe level of alcohol intake. Quit while you are ahead.
