Possibly: You could be allergic to the anesthetic, or perhaps you had an anxiety attack. If you have had other fillings done before with no response to the xylocaine, (lidocaine) it is unlikely that you would have suddenly developed an allergy. Were you worried or anxious about this procedure, or experiencing unexpected pain?

Allergens: No no no. These are not the signs of an allergic reaction. More like the symptoms of Epinephrine in the blood. Epinrphrinf is added to local anesthetics to cause vasoconstriction. This allows the anesthetic to remain active longer at the site of injection. If the Epinephrine enters your blood stream, it will do what it is normally meant to do : increase heart rate, blood pressure, cause excitemen.
