A member asked:

Lupus anticoagulant eval. the ref range is <45sec. does the result matter if its over 45? for example, is a result of 51 more indicative of an issue than 46? if the la screen and drvvt screen is high and confirm is - what factors should be checked?

Pleas touch base with the doctor who ordered the test. Background & context is needed.

The lupus anticoagulant test is actually a panel of tests. I think a hematologist is best qualified to interpret the results of the panel, assess your risk and recommend treatment ( if needed). and provide proper follow-up.
