Normally: a factor V deficiency can cause a prolonged thrombin time But your bleeding time and platelet count should be unaffected. Certain medications and other diseases could also cause elevated thrombin time.

Lupus Anticoagulant Screen w/ Reflex. Is it normal for the results to change/worsen in 5 months? First time in October the DRVVT confirmation was negative. 5 months later it was positive. Both times had a high DRVVT screen. Why would results change?
Had Lupus Anticoagulant Eval w/reflex done twice in 3 months. 1st DRVVT screen high. 2nd screen high, confirmation positive, mix corrected. What factor deficiency can cause these results? How would you interpret these results-weak LA or factor def?
7 wks 3 days pregnant I got blood tests. Protein S, activity is 39. Protein C, Factor V/VIII, prothrombin, B2 glycoproteins, lupus anticoagulant, cardiolipin, antithrombin III are normal. I have always bled easy and no history of clots. Is this bad?
