Activation: If you are separated from you wife it makes sense that you may feel sad. However, it sounds like you may be clinically depressed. The difference is that we treat clinical depression with medications and therapy. See a doctor. One thing that might help immediately is to become more active. Spending large amts of time alone in bed, will likely make you more depressed. Make plans. See friends.

Dear depressed: It is hard to be away from one's mate. See you have addiction to masturbation, sex & pornography. Giving into any addiction may provide distraction but it will not help to deal with the issues at hand. Are you in treatment? Do you have clinical depression? Talking therapy to include Cognitive Behavioral therapy or psychotherapy can be effective. Aim for daily exercise, 8 hrs of sleep per night
