Needs more info. First of all, what led him to have lab work? Was his low iron count (hemoglobin) a new finding or an ongoing issue? What were the abnormal finding(s) on his exam?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, low hemoglobin and elevated LDH are suggestive of hemolytic anemia. Do keep your appointment with the doctor. Wish you good health!
