I had toenail ingrown removal surgery (winograd procedure), 5 days post surgery, i still feel numbness and have minor pain in the area (some pus discharge). is the numbness normal? should i ignore because it is normal or seek medical advise?

Any numbness from that procedure would most likely be due to swelling and should resolve in a few days. It is possible, but unlikely, that the digital nerve was cut, but nothing would be done to repair it, and it would recover over several months to a year. I'm more concerned you still have pus. Follow up with the surgeon to verify there is no worsening infection and ask them about the numbness.
