I forgot my elastic placement. on my paper it shows r & l, and the bands connect from top third tooth to the bottom sixth tooth, on both sides. is this how im supposed to put my elastics?

You should really be asking your treating orthodontist who knows your particular wire and bracket configuration.

Elastics narrate used to provide directional force. Worn in the wrong direction can actually complicate your malocclusion. Size, direction, force level, are individual decisions made by your Orthodontist. It would be unsafe for us to guess, sight unseen, why your Orthodontist has directed for you.
