Last year i did hpv test and pap.negative.today the doc did mrna hpv and pap due to recurrence of hpv( loop 2018 cin 2-3). can the result be so different in one year? i am married no smoker. but i had covid three months ago?

HPV is a virus that is typically cleared by the body without intervention in many cases. Sometimes, though, the HPV virus can "hide" in vaginal or cervical cells and not be recognized by the body or tests. Or, a long term partner can become a carrier. It sounds like your HPV infection was treated but has returned. Make sure you are working with your Dr for treatment of CIN.

You can get a reinfection. Pl ask your Gyn to recheck or explain.
