See the reply to your previous similar question. Many people with HPV have intermittently positive tests. It's random and usually has no particular explanation. That your doctor advises colposcopy suggests you have not only a positive HPV test, but cellular changes on your Pap smear (dysplasia). Follow her advice! Your bacterial vaginosis is a separate problem, nothing to do with HPV.

I had Pap test and Colposcopy the last November . I was diagnosed with Cin1/LSIL and cervical ectopy, high level of Leukocytes, Large number of Cocobacilla and Bacterial Vaginosis. Could you explain does HPV causes Cin1? there was no hpv in the Pap.
Why would doc want a colposcopy if normal paps yearly and negative 16/18 hpv but only this year high Hr hpv but negative 16/18?
What can activate or reactivate hpv in the body after testing negative yearly with normal paps then suddenly positive but not 16/18 but normal Pap ? Is having Bacterial vaginosis a factor that could reactivate it or cause a positive hpv?
