Both infections are gone within 1-2 days of starting antibiotic treatment. But still you must complete all doses (e.g. all 7 days of doxycycline for chlamydia), and should not have sex until at least a week has passed.

If you follow directions for medications, it takes a week. During this time and for at least a week -10 days no sex. When you resume sexual activity remember what just happened, and practice safe sex.
