Usually 3-4 weeks: It is generally recommended to retest in 3-4 weeks after treatment but it is quite likely that testing earlier would also be reliable. It can take 1-3 weeks for signs of infection to show after initial exposure, so a negative test at 3 weeks would be confirm cure. Be sure to use first voided urine (if doing urine testing) as diluted urine can give false negative tests results.

Four weeks: It is important to wait about 4-5 weeks to retest. A positive test from a test done sooner may be false positive. Have a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/. Get HPV vaccine

3 months: It is recommended to do a re-test 3 months after treatment for both infections (although in gonorrhea of the throat, retesting after two weeks is what’s recommended). If you are suspecting re-infection or feel that symptoms continue, then reach out to your doctor, as repeat testing 3-4 weeks after completing antibiotics may be more appropriate in that case.
