Im a 37 year old,with no major gyn backgrounds.never been pregnant. did a pap smear.was told at same time to screen for body cancer with an endometrial biopsy too(no cancer background either).was this needed?pain was awful.risk of adverse effects?

I don't see the need for an endometrial biopsy unless you're experiencing abnormal menses such as heavy,prolonged or highly irregular menses or have thickened endometrium on an ultrasound. Were you told of another reason?
