A member asked:

If i have fibroids in my breasts, do i most likely have them in my uterus as well? i have pain sometimes.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fibrocystic breasts : Fibroids are tumors which are almost always benign, and occur in the uterine smooth muscle. Fibrocystic disease is a breast condition, and not related to uterine fibroids. Oral contraceptives, if no contraindications are present, at age 34 may reduce the breast component, and slow the growth of uterine fibroids if present, b/c of the lower estrogen in the oral bcps. See your gyn for advice.
