My husband is having terrible side effects from telmisartan blood pressure tablets. he's feeling faint, exhausted, urinating too often, dry mouth. can he stop taking it? only took it for 2 days. we won't see a doctor for long time, so we need advice?

Yes, he can stop it without significant rebound effect. Your husband needs to limit salt intake besides losing weight with exercise in the meantime. He does not need to see his doctor, just call and let the doctor know about the discontinuance due to side effects and a new medication can be called in.
