Hypertension.: Hypertension (High BP) can be associated with headache and other symptoms in the head; stress can act as an amplifier, causing BP to rise further. Sometimes, avoiding salt can reduce high BP; however, if the BP remains consistently above 130/80, a medication might be necessary to control ones BP. In addition, blood and urine tests can help determine the cause of high BP in a young person.
