Rebound effect may happen with stopping metoprolol if you are taking high dose. You can cut down the dose in half daily and then 25 mg every other day then stop. Because blood pressure is under control with Olmesartan Hctz so you only watch for rebound tachycardia (high heart rate). If blood pressure is too low with tapered metoprolol dose but heart rate is not high, you can stop metoprolol.

Dose of BB?. Usually taper over a few days. Recommended all with HBP move to the DASH eating plan which lower BP as much/more than any single BP med in some. If not DASHing get this book read & use. Ask Dr if OK. Check BP daily as will start down in 1 d. Systolic can become normal in a week & diastolic in 2. Get this EXACT ebook/paperback ISBN 9780743410076.
