Is it reasonable to treat swollen lymph nodes on neck with antibiotics for 5yr old and if its still swollen remove it surgically? will they shrink with antibiotics? even though labs are normal but lymph has an irregular morphology?

Test for multiple infections and discuss whether a CBC, differential with smear was ordered. Inflammatory markers such as ESR and CRP may be followed, along with the physical examinations. COVID 19 vaccination as available is recommended. Please provide more details re irregular morphology and cultures/stains.

You can watch and wait. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!
