I was told at surgery one year ago that i didn't have any signs of osteoarthritis in the knee. i was told i had a displacement after surgery how come?

Knee displacement: Since you did not mention what kind of knee surgery you had done, it is difficult to relate to what kind of displacement they may be talking about, it is a displaced implanted device? Consult your surgeon and ask him/her to discuss the x-ray findings with you and what will be the treatment to follow. If you are not happy with their response, seek another opinion.

Possible: Am not orthopediican(am an internist.Can answer , when the supporting structures of the joint - 1. Lax /thinned out ligaments/partially torn or fully torn ones -2. Thinning out of cartilages which r covering the ends of bones 3. Weak bones excess weight all can cause predispositon to disloc. U r young, but collagen fibres and elastin could be weak which form supporting strs.Ligs and cartilag.
