Results from an MRI ordered by your Dr need to be discussed with that Dr. Without any medical history, physical exam or even context as to why this test was run, having a stranger tell you what it means is not appropriate or useful.

In this situation I believe that your attending physician should sit down with the radiologist & ask for a differential diagnosis, get advice as to whether any other studies or follow-up scans would be helpful or advisable & what specialist to consult.

If you did indeed possess limbic encephalitis, you would be quite ill, likely requiring hospitalization. Nonspecific white matter lesions are often imaged on MRI's and must be correlated with clinical symptoms. Not feasible to provide answers in lack of further information. A virtual consult on HT with your images might help (www.connect@healthtap.com)
