Had surgery 8 days ago,after op i had jaundice and they said it was gilbert syndrome yesterday i had a blood test and they said bilirubin levels are normal again i was very worried about sepsis does this mean i dont have it i dont feel ill either?

It is highly unlikely that you have sepsis. Bilirubin increases in people with Gilbert on fasting and that may have been the explanation of your jaundice in the post-op stage.

A prominent feature of sepsis is it disables you, taking your blood pressure and energy level down to the point you are not walking around experiencing life. If it were to happen after the surgery it would have been evident quickly. If you are functioning at a reasonable level, although not fully recovered from surgery, you are not septic.
