A member asked:

Doctor found elevated bilirubin 32.0 in blood, diagnosed gilberts syndrome without further investigating isn't it true that elevated bilirubin can he?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gilbert's: Bili can be elevated for a large number of reasons, but elevations of unconjugated bili without other findings and a long Hx of mild elevations of unconj bili can likely be attributed to Glilberts. The presence of other comorbid conditions or symptoms negates this.
